RetroThing – I’m behind in my reading!

One of the downsides of my new tablet (the Nexus 7, and I love it) is that I need to transfer all my bookmarks to it, or I don’t see my regular list of blogs. RetroThing is a blog that I love, even though they only update about once or twice a week (which is an amazing amount of material compared to this blog, recently).

Two posts there worth noting. First: Gerry Anderson died! Gerry is the creator of the “Thunderbirds” – the’60s puppet sci/fi action show starring some pretty amazing puppets, and the inspiration for “Team America: World Police.” How many people like that movie without knowing that it’s a parody of Thunderbirds? The link is a great obituary, and a great description of his many accomplishments.

The other post is a $60,000 personal jet. Why don’t I have one of these?
